We are on Erek Mountain
Pollens of Stachys willemsei and Taraxacum davisii, which are endemic plant species found only in Erek Mountain in the world, are present in our honey.
The summit of Mount Erek is 3200 meters. It is important for 55 plant taxa and most of them are narrowly endemic species.
Since the region is close to Van, plant species were investigated in detail. "Stachys willemsei" and "Taraxacum davisii", which are among the many endemic plant species in the area, live only in this area all over the world. In addition, as a result of the researches carried out on the mountain, it was determined that 109 butterfly species lived in the region, eight of which met the KBA criteria. Three of these species are endemic and narrowly distributed in Turkey. One of the endemic species, Rose's many-eyed (Plebeius rosei) lives only in Erek Mountain all over the world.

Who is Balci Tahsin?
Our great grandfather, Sait Elasan was born in 1902 in Van Çatak Konalga Village. He started beekeeping in 1925. Beekeeping continued from father to son and continued its existence until today. He was born in 1979, developed and expanded this valuable profession inherited from his grandfather, Mr. Sait and taught this profession to his sons.
Van is a city that hosts many endemic plant species. Geography, especially at high altitudes, has been a major factor in the quality of honey.
Van Gövelek village (Ermanis) is a village on the slope of Erek Mountain and is at an altitude of 2400. We carefully produce our 100% natural karakovan and filtered honey in this rich, unique floral flora region.
The Erek Mountain, at an altitude of 3200 meters, is the most important factor that perfects the aroma and quality of our honey with its thousands of flower petals.
There is no agriculture in our region. There is no settlement and no concreting. There are no polluting chemical gases such as pesticides, exhaust, or factories in our region.

Our white water plateau is that the mountains of konalga village of the catak district of van have 2300 and 2500 altitudes.
Why is our honey so valuable and unique?
The endemic vegetation and the diversity of thousands of flowers in Çatak are the most important factors that perfect the aroma and quality of our honey. The absence of agricultural lands, spraying, concretization and car exhaust, factory gases makes our honey valuable.
Our honey and beekeeping profession, which we have been continuing for 4 generations.
In 1946, our grandfathers' meeting with the bee started with the bee in a basket made of willow wood, which is a primitive hive, and started to produce honey in our white water highland of konalga village of Çakak district of Van. They kept the harvested honey in wooden chests and sold it in the center of Van. We continue on the path of our ancestors, and we are happy to deliver these precious honeys, which we have produced completely organic for years, to you.
